NDIS Transport Assistance in Canberra and Queanbeyan

Getting to the right place safely and on time matters for work, study, health appointments and community participation. CCS provides planned transport assistance for eligible NDIS participants, with the purpose, support needs and charges agreed before travel.

Quick answer
What can NDIS transport support be used for?

NDIS transport supports may help eligible participants who can’t travel or use public transport independently because of disability. Depending on the plan, that might cover travel for work, study, appointments, day programs, or community, social and recreational activities.

Transport funding is not the same for everyone

NDIS transport can appear in different parts of a plan and be paid or claimed in different ways — recurring transport funding, provider travel and activity-based transport are not interchangeable terms. CCS will explain the charges for its own service, but confirm how your funding actually works with your support coordinator, plan manager or the NDIA if you’re unsure.

Frequently asked questions

Transport questions, answered plainly

CCS may provide transport and disability support to get to an appointment, where it fits your plan and the agreed service. We don’t provide emergency medical transport.

Yes, if support during the activity is part of the agreed service and appropriately funded. Worker support time and transport charges should be explained before you book.

Accessible vehicle availability and required equipment need to be confirmed for each enquiry — don’t assume a standard vehicle will suit a participant who uses a wheelchair or needs specialised transfer support.

Availability depends on the requested time, location, worker capacity and service agreement. Ask CCS about your exact journey and schedule.

No. For a life-threatening or time-critical emergency, call Triple Zero. CCS transport needs to be planned and agreed in advance.
