Pay Rate Calculator
Look up an estimated support worker pay rate under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS Award, MA000100). Choose a classification level, employment type and shift to see the applicable hourly rate.
It estimates the minimum hourly SCHADS Award rate for a chosen classification level, employment type and shift or day type, using current published pay point 1 rates. It doesn’t process payroll or replace advice from Fair Work or a payroll professional.
What it’s useful for
What this calculator can help you estimate
Whether you’re a support worker, a self-managing participant, or planning a roster, this tool can help you:
Calculate a SCHADS Award pay rate
Rates are taken directly from the Fair Work Ombudsman's official Pay Guide for the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award [MA000100] (published 24 June 2026), social and community services (SACS) stream, current from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2026. It’s general information only — not payroll, legal or financial advice. Actual pay depends on the correct classification, pay point, employment agreement, superannuation and any applicable enterprise agreement.

Allowances to know about
On top of the hourly rate, the SCHADS Award includes several flat allowances: a sleepover allowance of approximately $62.87 per sleepover (plus pay for any work performed), a broken shift allowance of approximately $21.81 (one unpaid break) or $28.87 (two unpaid breaks), an on-call allowance of approximately $25.66 (overnight, Monday–Friday) or $50.81 (other periods or public holidays), plus vehicle, first aid, uniform and laundry allowances. Amounts change with each pay guide update — always confirm current figures with the official Fair Work pay guide before relying on them for payroll.

The calculator, answered plainly
No. This is a general estimation tool provided by Coordinated Care Services, an independent registered NDIS provider. It is not affiliated with the Fair Work Ombudsman, the Fair Work Commission, or any government agency. For an authoritative result, use Fair Work’s Pay and Conditions Tool.
It depends on qualifications, duties and experience — most disability support workers sit around Level 2 to Level 4, while coordination, management and senior practitioner roles sit higher. Classification is set by the employer based on the actual role, not job title alone.
